"So I Fit Break Internet Like This?" Yul Edochie Shades Critics

Embattled Nollywood actor and a presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie, seems not bothered about the opinion of his critics over his choice of a second wife.

The actor who revealed on Wednesday that he has a child from  his colleague, Judy Austin has been heavily criticised on social media platforms for toeing such a line, including his family members distancing themselves from him.

However, his recent post on Instagram on Friday, suggests that the now father of five, is less concerned about his action and its interpretation by the society.

Yul  Edochie wondered why Nigerians who never gave him recognition when he contested the governorship election in his state and took part in #EndSars protest should be calling for his head now.

Highlighting some of his achievements and contributions over time, he wrote: “So I fit break internet like this? So I can get over 60k comments on one post? But I dey act film, dey give una Hollywood performaces since una no send me.

“Best voices, una no send me. I ran for governor, una no send me. I’ve been a strong voice for the people, been an activist, I do endsars, una no still send me.

“But na dis one scatter Internet. Na dis one come make una send me finally. Na waa for una oo.”

Banky W Wins PDP House of Representatives Ticket In Lagos

Celebrated singer and entertainer, Olubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W on Monday, secured the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest the 2023 election for Eti-Osa constituency of the House of Representatives.

The singer who was said to score a landslide victory, polling 28 out of 31 votes cast by delegates at the primaries, against a legal practitioner, Sam Aiboni, who polled three votes.

The victory would pit him against Babajide Obanikoro, son of former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, who picked the return ticket for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reports say that the delegates, who cast their votes at the congress, ahead of the grand finale this weekend, consisted of 31 adhoc members of the PDP and one national delegate, adding that the Returning Officer, Ayodele Kazeem, who declared the results, described the process as peaceful and transparent.

Banky W, who was quoted as saying that the election was a free and fair one, attributed his victory to the grace of God and the will of the people, thanking the party for giving him the opportunity to represent it.

“I am overwhelmed by the support of my constituency, the people, the ward chairmen, the leaders and the chieftains of the party. I feel the support even from the grassroots, honestly, I can’t be happier than I am now,” he said, adding that he had a message, a vision and a mandate to do things better in the constituency and that he would achieve them through transparency, accountability and service.

“The real work begins now, the primaries are just the start and thankfully, we have the grace of God with us; we move,” he added.

Popular Nigerian veteran actress, Eucharia Anunobi has called on men who are ready for marriage to approach her as she’s in dire need of a husband.

Anunobi who made this known during an interview with BBC Igbo,  also disclosed that the man should possess every attribute that makes him a man, added that he must  be God-fearing and mature enough to handle marriage.

She said: “Please, I use this opportunity to tell the world that I want to marry urgently. A great man should show himself and put a ring on this finger of mine.

“My specification is a man who is God-fearing and handsome.

“He must be up to the task, having everything that makes a man male, you must be complete, that’s all I can say.”

The actress’s marriage to Charles Ekwu crashed in 2009.

His victory was announced on Sunday evening after Progress and Zadok, his closest rival had delivered a topnotch performance to the delight of the viewing audience and judges.
