Manchester United Tipped To Hire Wayne Rooney As Manager

Struggling English side, Manchester United have been asked by Darren Bent to bring in Wayne Rooney as head coach to help savage the crisis at Old Trafford.

Bent a former Tottenham Hotspur striker believes Wayne Rooney is the right man to replace interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, who has been unable to make a significant impact since he to over the job in December.

According to Bent, Rooney who is Manchester United’s all-time top scorer with 253 goals, has done an incredible job at Derby County and should be considered for the Red Devils managerial job.

“If they are looking around and Wayne keeps Derby up and feel he’s the right man for the job [Manchester United], he understands the club, one of the best players in their history, their highest ever goalscorer,” Bent told talkSPORT.

“All young coaches have to start somewhere. Some get the luxury of starting at the very top, some have to work their way up the pyramid.

“If they come to Wayne Rooney and think he’s the right man for the job, and he feels ready to take it, then I don’t see a problem with that.”
