The members of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations on Sunday held a memorial service in honour of their late founder and prophet, TB Joshua.

At the event which took place at the church’s headquarters in Ikotun Lagos, Mrs Evelyn Joshua revealed how the late prophet walked into their room on a particular day in the late 90s holding a newspaper and his eyes full of tears. Perplexed by the scenario, Mrs Joshua said she found herself in a state of dilemma when the man of God refused to speak up but rather, threw the paper on the floor.

However, when she finally summoned up courage to see what was on the paper, she saw on the front page, a picture of her husband with horns sleeping with different kinds of animals.

She stated that the feeling she had on that day was similar to the one she had about a year ago when her husband died. But she noted that the only difference was that it was the prophet who walked into the room in the first experience.

“I remember one year crossover night I had cooked my rice, stew and chiken, when TB Joshua who walked into the room with a long face, came with papers and threw them on the floor and I summoned courage to pick the papers. On the front page was his face with horns sleeping with all kinds of animals. I faced him and said they were not speaking to him and I received  embrace.

“For the first time, I saw tears in his eyes. I want to thank God for his wonderful memories,” she said.

She also narrated the challenges she had with the prophet as a young couple and how she has grown to learn more about Joshua who she said was ready to let go of everything to be with God.

She said at a time, two elderly women, Mrs Felicia Olowofeyeku who is now late and Mama Akinola, intervened as she felt that Joshua was not giving her the necessary attention she deserved.

Going further, she recalled that Joshua would always sing that whatsoever would want to prevent him from serving God should be removed from his life.

She said: “I remembered one Sunday, I went to his office and I said you are not to attend to anybody today but me. He brought Mrs Akinola who guided me with wisdom that kept me from the path of error. I want to say thank you for wisdom and motherly advice and Mrs Felicia Olowofekun of blessed memory.

“When I look back now, I realize that there are so many important things than those concerns of mine then. I thank God for preserving our lives for his glory”, she said.

Mrs Joshua who said henceforth, should would be speaking in the capacity of the church’s leader, said: “I pastor Evelyn Onyisi Joshua, as leader of this great commission, I owe it to you all , the Synagogue Of All Nations members, wonderful Emmanuel T.V partners all over the world, lovers of faith, friends of the ministry, and all who are present here today, I owe it to you to assess our journey so far.

“A year today our heart was broken, my heart was broken because I knew in a few hours I would be called that name no woman wants to bear in a hurry… WIDOW. But I thank God for his grace upon me, the family left behind and the SCOAN.

“A year ago, our dearest prophet, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, left us all in the blaze of glory. Of course as humans, we wept, we wailed, we worried. I did all. But today we have gathered here not to mourn but to return glory to the father for this far he has been with us, His mercy, grace, and favour which stand sure in our lives.

“We are celebrating the world-acknowledged man of prayer, a humble servant of God, a mentor to millions across the globe,a friend to widows and orphans, a benefactor to the needy, a cross-generational role model and a hardworking man whose life reflected the pursuit of the advancement of God’s kingdom through his numerous crusades, sermons, acts of charity, publications and activities of Emmanuel TV team and partners.

“In our work with the Lord, we have been told by Prophet TB Joshua to alway prepare for the next moment.

“That is to build absolute faith in Christ’s direction and focus so as not to be excluded from heavenly treasures and blessings.

“We are all witnesses to all that has been happening since the church reopened, on the 5th of December, 2021, exactly 6months after prophet TB Joshua passed on to glory. The vision has been carried on, the mission has remained the same and the Lord has been faithful in all ways.

“God Almighty has been at the centre of it all, despite what the ministry has gone through, we are inspired and energised by the strong arms of God and the powerful sustaining spirit of the partners and members all over the world. The ship of the minstry is being steered by God of TB as he has always done.

“He is the spiritual spinal cord of the ministry and we are profoundly proud of His mighty name, for what He has kept doing for us in all ramifications.

“We thank God for the peace and security with which he has blessed us, sealing us with his precious blood. Our services have kept growing in spiritual dept and divine impartation… I mean the healing, deliverance, the breakthrough, and the family reconciliation, all the amazing testimonies. We are in indeed determined to broaden the scope and relevance of Prophet TB Joshua’s legacy.

“The SCOAN mountain is an assured place of meeting God through prayers and our partners and members have not stopped visiting the serene site in order to encounter God. We give glory to the name of the Lord for the marvelous miracles and deliverances taking place every moment at the mountain

“The Arigi Mountain by the grace of God , will soon be in progress. That is one of Prophet TB Joshua’s dream projects.

“We are committed to building a strong, Godly foundation for the youths whom we call “The Seed of Tomorrow” through the education department. We hope to reach our youths through our partners and members all over the world. We are equally determined to progressively mobilize our women and groups in the ministry towards a special relationship with Christ.

“In the light of this, we sincerely acknowledge and express gratitude to national and international government executives, diplomats, religious leaders, embassies and consulates, traditional leaders and chiefs, non- governmental organisations, human rights organisations, security officers, media practitioners as well as medical and judicial personnel, all of whose direct and indirect influence has been noticeable in the ministry over the years particularly in the last one year.”

Also, the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu who was represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Christian matters, Revered Bukola Adeleke described Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua as a man who served humanity with all his strength and finished his course on earth before he was called by his creator.

“I am delighted to join the leaders of Synagogue Church Of All Nations pastor Mrs. Evelyn Joshua and members of the families and the entire congregation of the church, as we gather in remembrance of a great servant of God Prophet TB Joshua, Who transited to eternal glory one year ago.

“It feels like yesterday, when the news of the sudden death of Prophet TB Joshua was broken. The suddenness of his death, was treated with unbelief until reality finally dawned on us that indeed the servant of God has finished his assignment here on earth and answered the call to meet his creator.

“One year after, it is very clear that the memory remains fresh particularly in the minds of the multitude within and outside Nigeria, whose lives have been greatly impacted by his healing words, kind- heartedness, prayers and good works of charity.

“What we are seeing today, testifies to the fact that the real essence of life is not measured by the amount of material wealth we are able to amass but the impact we make in the lives of people and humanity. ”

Sanwo-Olu thanked Prophet Joshua’s widow and the management of the church for sustaining Joshua’s lagacy and the museum that was commissioned in honour of the late prophet. He prayed God to lead the church even as they continue to lead the people of God.

On his part, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Aiyedatiwa who represented the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Alakurin Rotimi Akeredolu, stated that though the founder of Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua might not be alive but his spirit lives on.

He said that they were celebrating the lagacy of a great man has passed through this earth.

“Prophet TB Joshua came, he lived and died. But he lives on because all that he did, the marks, signs, imprints, footprints, were all there in the sand of time for all to see, both tangible and intangible .

“You want to talk about the lives he touched or impacted? Will you talk about physical projects? The love he has shown to people, forgiveness and the teachings of principles on how to live? All of these are there in the heart of men, he lives on.

“I just want to encourage our mother and our wife Pastor Mrs Evelyn TB Joshua to keep on with the good work Prophet TB Joshua started many years ago.

“The work is great, but you are not the one that will do it; not by power, not by might, not by strength but by the spirit of the Lord.”

He prayed that the spirit of wisdom, of knowledge, of understanding would come upon the family and the church’s leadership so that He would direct their steps in all ramifications so that they would be successful and productive in every sphere of life.
