BBNaija: Kayvee Gives Reason For Exiting Show

Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Kayvee, who exited the reality show on Monday as a result of ill health has finally given reason for his action.

The former housemate revealed that anxiety was the cause of his withdrawal.

Kayvee’s health deteriorated on Monday morning while housemates had their morning exercise. He was also said to be acting weird and awkward before his exit.

Kayvee in a statement he personally signed, thanked Nigerians and his family for their unwavering support.

He also said being in the house has been an experience of a lifetime and has afforded him access to networks and the best supporters.

The photographer explained that he underestimated the effect isolation would have on his mental health and integrating with other housemates.

He noted that he is currently at a medical facility working through the debilitating anxiety.

“I underestimated the effect isolation would have on my mental health and integrating with other housemates. I honestly wanted to stay till day 72 and I believe I have the empathy, personality and game spirit to have made it to the end.

“But, certainly event that happened in quick succession escalated the anxiety I felt and impacted my being the jovial, energetic and fun person I am.

“Since my withdrawal from the house, I have reconnected with my family and I am currently at a medical facility working through the debilitating anxiety I felt. I covet your love and prayers.

“I look forward to connecting with Kayveefc whose love and commitment has been nothing short of astounding. Word will never be enough to convey my gratitude.”

The family of multiple award-winning Nollywood Actor, Olu Jacobs has debunked the rumors making rounds social media that the 82-year-veteran who has been dealing with dementia is dead.

This was made known by the family in a now viral clip to support their claims.

Also collaborating with the family claims via her official X handle formerly called Twitter, Kate Henshaw, a veteran in the Nigerian make believe industry asked why Nigerians keep wishing the thespian dead despite his contribution in the movie industry.

“HOW YOU PEOPLE PUT UP RIP POSTS ABOUT SOMEONE WHO IS STILL ALIVE, YEAR IN YEAR OUT IS VERY SICKENING, TBH!!!

“You do this to this great man and his family ALL THE TIME!!

“It is all shades of wrong!!

” Stop for goodness sake!!

” UNCLE OLU JACOBS is ALIVE!!!,” she maintained.

On his part, Shehu Sani, a former Senator of the the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the seventh assembly simply wrote: “Thank God for the news that Olu Jacobs is alive.”

Princess Adeola, the daughter of Ooni of Ife who turns 30 on May 20, has been urged to bring home a man for marriage.

The call was made by her father, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II in a now viral post on social media on Monday.

Ogunwusi while praying for the Princess, teased her to bring home her choiced husband as she is now ripe to be married out. The first class monarch also used the opportunity to reveal what his expectations has been towards her over the years.

He wrote, “Princess Adeola, Aanuoluwapo, Atutunini, Bamdefe Ogunwusi, Omo Ojaja II. I am truly grateful for the fulfilling life you have lived. May God Almighty continue to be with you in all your endeavours. Amen!

“When you turned 10, your father would talk to you about school and your future. At 20, he encouraged you to listen and understand the importance of morals and well-being, even as you sought independence.

“Now that you are 30, you are a grown woman. Your father senses that you no longer wish to be advised as independence has finally set in.

“I talked 10 to you and got your subtle independent behaviour in return. I talked 20 to you, and I still got your near-obvious independence behaviour in return. Now I’m talking 30 to a grown woman, so go and bring husband to daddy. With love from the throne of Oduduwa.

“Congratulations, and may God continue to guide you in all your pursuits,” he added.

Asake Displaces Grammy Winner Tyla , Limoblaze Wins Best Gospel Act In MOBO Awards

Ahmed Ololade professionally known as Asake, on Wednesday, clinched the award for the Best African Artist of the Year at the 2024 MOBO Awards held in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

Asake who recently lost his Grammy nomination to South African singer, Tyla, was named the winner ahead of his counterparts in the music industry such as Davido, Rema, Ayra Starr and the 22-year-old Grammy Award-winning South African singer Tyla.

Also among the winners is fast-rising Nigerian gospel singer, Limoblaze who won the Best Gospel Act at the award ceremony.

While Drake and 21 Savage were joint winners of the Best International Act award, Soul II Soul was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

British rapper, Central Cee topped the winners’ chart with two awards: Best Male Act and Song of the Year for ‘Sprinter’ with British-Nigerian rapper, Dave.
