They were admonished by Manchester United Legend, Rio Ferdinand, he said on his FIVE YouTube channel,

Ferdinand said: “If I’m [Memphis] Depay or [Sergio] Aguero, I’m saying, “I need to go back to where I came from, I want another club! I came here to play with Messi”.

Kylian Mbappe Dumps Ronaldo For Messi

Kylian Mbappe Dumps Ronaldo For Messi

There seems to be a new relationship between French forward Kylian Mbappe who has always admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol and Leo Messi

When Messi first arrived from FC Barcelona to play for PSG, Mbappe seemed slightly more serious than usual. Granted, that had a lot to do with his desire to play for Real Madrid last summer but he also remained a faithful admirer of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The PSG board hoped a few months with Messi could persuade him of possibly staying and even sign a new contract in order to avoid Real Madrid. That much remains to be seen.

However, Mbappe has seen Leo Messi first hand and he does appear convinced after Tuesday’s game against Club Brugge.

In a match where he scored two goals and Messi another two, Mbappe spoke to the press after the game to congratulate Leo for his achievements. But he also said a phrase that probably proved he thinks Leo is better than Ronaldo. Here’s what Kylian told the press after the game: “It’s easy to play with Lionel Messi. He’s the best player in the world. He won the Ballon d’Or a few days ago. He scored two goals today, he is happy, and I hope he will help us in the future.”

Atiku Abubakar Reveals The Impact Arsenal Has On Him

Former Nigeria Vice President and a Presidential hopeful in the next general election, Atiku Abubakar has lamented on the impact Arsenal football club of London has on him.

Atiku in a post last night on his verified twitter account stated that the club had kept him awake all night after it lost 2:1 to its counterpart, Everton in their premier league game.

In the keenly contested encounter, Brazilian forward Richarlison thought he had given the hosts the lead after heading Andros Townsend’s free-kick past goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in  the 44th minute of the game.

However, VAR came to the rescue as the goal was chalked off as the South American star was adjudged to have been in an offside position.

Before the first half was brought to a halt, Martin Odegaard’s calm side-footed volley gave the North London giants a slim lead into the half-time break.

Two minutes before the hour mark, Richarlison’s goal was chalked off for offside. Doucoure teed up the forward, and he made no mistake in firing the ball past Ramsdale, Notwithstanding, it was cancelled following the intervention of VAR.

Eleven minutes before full-time, Richarlison’s third strike stood as he headed into the empty net after the Gunners’ goalkeeper was beaten by Gray’s curling strike that kissed the crossbar.

In the closing minutes of the tension-soaked affair, Gray had the final say with a screamer from 20-yards that cracked the right post before sailing into the net.

Bad News For Lionel Messi

Bad News For Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi’s record-breaking week has seemingly ended on a sour and extremely costly note.

The 34-year-old picked up a seventh Ballon d’Or award in Paris on Monday, although he soon had bad news from his former home.

Messi’s four-star hotel in Barcelona has reportedly been slapped with a court order for its demolition.

El Confidencial claim that the Argentine’s 77-bedroom building does not meet city standards.

The ‘MiM Sitges’ is located close to where Messi used to live whilst he plied his trade at the Camp Nou.

Messi also owns hotels in Ibiza and and Majorca through the Majestic Hotel Group and spent £26m on the Barcelona-based residence in 2017.

But the report from Spain states that the superstar purchased the hotel without being aware that the Sitges Town Hall had already ordered its demolition as a result of non-compliance with building codes.

The hotel’s balconies are believed to be too big, but the building could even collapse if they are downsized or torn down.

Not only that, but the fire emergency plan reportedly also failed to meet the authorities’ standards.

Lionel Messi is understood to have just been made aware of the demolition order when the Spanish newspaper approached him for comment, which he and his representatives passed on.

The hotel has been praised for its approach to sustainability, with 80% of the material used for the building’s construction either reused or recyclable.

On top of that, it has large tanks that collect waste water from every shower which is then filtered to be used in the toilets and for watering plants.

Since signing, the PSG forward has struggled on the pitch for his lofty standards, scoring just one goal in Ligue 1, but Monday’s award ceremony was an unrivalled high point across his trophy-laden career.

Some fans now believe Messi’s new record makes him the greatest player of all-time.

But the man himself seems less fussed about that label, as he told France Football, via AS : “I never said I’m the best in history nor do I try to push that perception myself.

“For me, being considered by others as one of the best in history is more than enough.

“It’s something I would never have imagined. It’s something that doesn’t interest me, it doesn’t change anything whether I’m considered the best or not.

“And I never wanted to be.”

Messi’s latest Ballon d’Or win was arguably his most controversial, narrowly beating out Bayern Munich ‘s Robert Lewandowski.
